Healing for Personal and Collective Transformation

FOR THOSE WHO ARE DONE WITH WHITE-KNUCKLING THROUGH LIFE

Psychotherapy and private practice consulting for tender-hearted people doing a lot — and feeling the cost

FOR SO MANY OF US, IT CAN FEEL LIKE THE GOALPOSTS KEEP MOVING FURTHER AWAY.

Maybe you’ve accomplished a lot on the outside, yet you can’t shake the feelings of constant worry and self-criticism. Perhaps you have had to keep parts of yourself hidden in order to “fit in” or stay safe. Over time, you start to find yourself feeling overextended, resentful, or exhausted.

If it feels difficult to identify — or ask for — what you need, you’re not alone.

I support therapists, high achievers, helping professionals, creatives, and athletes in Ontario who are living with:

  • Anxiety

  • CPTSD

  • Burnout

  • Perfectionism

  • Relationship challenges

  • Grief and major life transitions

  • Physical injury

Somatic and depth-oriented relational therapy from someone who gets it

I’m Alex Gosselin, registered social worker, psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, consultant and yoga instructor in Ontario

I believe in an embodied psychotherapy that counters short-term “fix it” solutions and rejects cultures that create isolation and hyper–self-reliance.

I bring over a decade of experience as a trauma therapist, alongside a lived understanding of what it means to carry responsibility, care deeply, and still feel like it’s never enough.

If you’re a sensitive person struggling with high-functioning anxiety or complex trauma, you, too, know the pain of suffering in silence.

My commitment is to support you in:

  • Moving beyond managing symptoms by reclaiming the fragmented parts of yourself

  • Living life with greater ease, honesty, and self-trust

  • Processing trauma gently, without becoming overwhelmed

  • Setting centred, relational boundaries that honour your wholeness and support cultural shifts

“I wholeheartedly endorse Alex for her deeply compassionate, thoughtful, values-driven work. She is a highly skilled therapist and clinical supervisor whose integrative, somatic approach offers practical strategies that enhance well-being and growth.”

Embodied Psychotherapy

A relational, trauma-focused, and liberatory approach to healing that’s grounded in somatics, parts work, and value-based action.

This work supports the gradual integration of the fragmented parts of the self — helping you bring awareness to your somatic experience, including how your body and mind may have organized around survival rather than coherence. Over time, this work supports you to access greater embodied safety, opening up possibilities for choice and connection.

Land & Labor Recognition

Much of my work takes place in Tkaronto (colonially known as Toronto), on the ancestral lands of the Haudenosaunee, the Anishinaabe, and the Wendat, and is the treaty territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit.

I acknowledge the ongoing legacy of colonial harm and honour land defenders, past and present. I also recognize our collective debt to enslaved Africans who were brought to these lands involuntarily, whose forced and unpaid labour helped build the economy and infrastructure of a nation that has yet to fully recognize their humanity.

I commit to a social-justice healing praxis and to the lifelong work of unlearning and dismantling embodied social conditions rooted in colonialism and white supremacy. Grounding myself in the recognition of land and labour reminds me of our shared responsibility to care for the land and for one another.
